Due to the incredible energy and full calendars around Lunar New Year,
plus the wonderful news that lion dance leader big brother 大師兄 Nhan is getting married! We have decided to postpone the next round of Lion Dance to late spring / early summer 2026. This delay will allow them time to celebrate as newlyweds, and allow us time to prepare new curriculum for you. We truly appreciate your enthusiasm and patience as we ensure the best possible experience for our students and families.

Little Lions: Introduction to Lion Dance! 🦁🧨🥬
Join us for a fun and active class designed
just for kids aged 5-7!
We’ll explore the fundamentals of Lion Dance, focusing on body movements, posture, and coordination—all while following the sound of beating drums, cymbals, and gong!
Children will learn how to walk, crouch, jump, and sway like a real lion while developing balance, strength, and teamwork. Through engaging activities and playful exercises, they’ll practice big lion steps, strong stances, and expressive movements to bring the lion’s spirit to life!
This class is a great way to build confidence, motor skills, and focus, all while having a roaring good time! Let’s move, play, and unleash our inner lions! 🦁✨
Support Our Lion Dance Program
Our partnership with White Lotus Lion + Dragon Dance is built on generosity and community spirit. White Lotus graciously provides instruction at no cost, ensuring that our cultural traditions thrive. The Sellwood House has kindly offered us space for practice, and to show our gratitude, we donate a portion of the gym rental fee back to the house. Any remaining funds go toward purchasing and upkeep of essential equipment like lion heads and pants, and end of year gift-backs.
The suggested contribution is $20-$40
However, we want to ensure this opportunity is accessible to everyone, so donations are entirely optional—no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
