JOIN OUR TEAM! SEEKING MONTHLY TEACHER FOR OUR BIG KIDS.

When we first started, many of our children were babies and toddlers. Now many of them are entering a new stage, and we are feeling a real need for more intentional learning opportunities for ages 6+ within our community.

We are looking for someone special to step into a once-monthly teaching role from September–June during our regular gatherings.

This would be a small-group 30-45 minute class for ages 6+, focused on:

• Guiding children through writing our “Word of the Day”

• Simple Cantonese vocabulary learning

• A related art, cultural, or STEM activity using easy pre-made kits

Curriculum built by us, implemented by you.

We are not looking for perfection or a formal classroom teacher. We are looking for someone warm, reliable, engaging with children, and excited to help our kids continue their language journey as they get older.

Position Details:

• Paid position - 3 hours/month total

• 2 hours onsite during gathering, 1 hour prep

• September–June commitment

• We can help provide structure, ideas, materials, and support

One of the realities of language preservation is that it cannot stop at toddlerhood. If we want our children to continue building confidence, connection, and identity in Cantonese as they grow, we need people willing to step forward with them.
